West Central Scotland. May 17, 2016. #2. It can happen with any SAT NAV. Depends where you are. Had it a few times as far back as 09/10/11 with various cars and Nav's. Just keep an eye on it. If it does it more and more then you may have an issue. But once in a blue moon is normal.
I understand that traffic info only comes with Connect Prime ($25 - $33/mo after six month trial). Our BMW does this for free (as does my cheap-*** Garmin). Sure I can use Apple nav for nav and traffic. However, the Audi nav should provide graphics which tells what lane (s) you should be in that is not part of Apple nav.
Am speaking to uknavigation on ebay, hopefully can get a disc for around £7.00. Just to see if the DVD unit is working ok. Ah, got ya! I thought you had a update copy and the original. It might be worth buying a genuine audi out of date one from 2005/2006 to see if the Sat nav works. Jaffajim0, in the same position as you at the moment, I recently took delivery of an 2007 S3 and it came with the 2007 maps. I have been looking around for a used original copy on eBay and they can still command some considerable money, so I figure if you did splash out your hard earned notes at the dealers and keep the receipt, you might still be be able to sell it on at a later date

The jnlp file kicks off the Audi download program. In the download program you tell it where your SD card is for the download. Note the files hiave to be in the root of the SD card. They indicated to me that for an already-activated system there would normally be two options - just the maps ASD card, which comes with an authorisation code (sometimes apparently confused with satnav activation) or maps plus a satnav system update (specifically satnav, not the MMI firmware update). looking at online Audi stores suggests that
The latest navigation map update data can be downloaded free of charge over a period of 3 years from the date of vehicle production, with a maximum limit of 5 downloads. The update data is then installed in the vehicle via SD card. Keep up to date with all the latest navigation maps for your Audi vehicle. Download the latest navigation map
Even if they did update the car then they would charge between 1-2 hours labour. There are 3rd party companies that can update the system but they charge for that as well. There are also "sites" where you can download the software, but there are risks involved like bricking modules and features not working after the update NAV, BT etc.

Quoted. 22 Post (s) Re: A6 2011 sat nav update – 27-04-2021, 10:52 PM. I have a 2014 A6, and was able to update the satnav when I bought it two years ago through an on-line company. They supplied me with SD cards and a CD at a cost of £120, and some exceedingly detailed instructions, and it all worked exactly as advertised.

First Name: Adrian. Location: United Kingdom. Audi Model:: A6 3.0 TFSI. Audi Year: 2009. Posted November 11, 2017. Hi everyone, I'm new here but hopefully someone will be able to shed some light on my SatNav update saga with my local Audi dealer. I have so far taken my 2009 A6 3.0 TFSI to the dealers three times to have the SatNav updated and I

Welcome to the forum. I personally wouldn't bother with the SD card, after having the same consideration when I bought my latest Audi. I plug my phone in ti the USB port and use the Android Auto (or Apple Play) which allows Google Maps. If you really want to use the factory Nav, buy the latest card your budget will allow. craigyb. You already have a navigation system then, as that is the RNS-E to me. You need a new 2007 or 2008 DVD navigation disk for the nav system to work, if you press the button next to the volume control the screen will drop down where you can insert the DVD. Mods to do: B&O retrofit.
We offer Genuine OEM Audi Map Updates at competitive prices. RNS-E and 2G MMI maps are disc based so we can supply OEM discs via post as no installation/activation is
Hi, my audi a6 c7 have RMC system with old maps i have few friends with same problem , we download newest maps but they need to be activated to car I found on some forum , and some ppl selling sd card already prepared for activation with VCP or odis I have now used up my free quota of Map updates through Audi Connect, so phoned my Audi dealer to find out how much it is to buy the latest Maps.. price £446 Map update £273 1 hour of labour £173 Is Audi serious? they want £450 per year to update to the latest maps. VW offer the exact same map data update free for life!!!!
The files and instructions are in the download links. As my S6 uses MMI 2G, I couldn't really show how to do the update with the SD card. My point was that it is essentially the same processes, when it comes to updating, the only difference being the update medium used. :)
I'm in the UK and I. have a 2016 Audi A6 Avant, and it has the standard dash and standard infotainment screen (stock photos attached from Google). Please bare with me; I don't know any correct terms here, so will talk around it. What I'm looking into is upgrading both the instrument cluster and screen. I have seen the cluster with Sat Nav on
The first issue led to the second one. Recently when inputting a destination (postcode entry via voice) it would find the postcode but then tell me “no street available for *****” so is have to just navigate to the centre of the postcode. I updated to the latest maps which didn’t fix it so I decided to reset the navigation to see if that

And check your MMI to make sure you can upload maps. Simply impossible for MIB and MIB 2 systems. Reply Like. Q5/SQ5 MKI (8R) Discussion - how to update navigation without Audi connect - Hello all, I'm new here so apologies if this has already been posted. I recently bought a 2016 Q5 and want to update the navigation map to the latest maps.
